I only put Jankowski on Backlund's wing to start, inevitably he should be centering his own line. The hard part will be ensuring the Flames can supplement their center depth with capable wingers. I want to see more from Lazar, as he should be a good fit on RW. We also need our vets to step up, a Tkachuk-Monahan pair is going to need a vet on RW I think.

It's amazing what a beard does for a guy.....kidding aside Bennett will just continue to improve this year.
I hope Janko does make it as we have had 1 new guy step in every year now for the past few seasons and make quite an impact.
I remember reading a post about how a team would be doing really really well if they could graduate a prospect yearly but only teams not named Calgary could do that.
Not sure if that poster was really paying attention to the last few seasons here .

I don't know what vets you're referring to. There really isn't anybody who isn't already playing to or slightly above expectations besides Brouwer.

In preseason, precious few vets have played very well. Even Backlund looked to be coasting against Phoenix.
