To be fair to Magnum PEI, it's actually a little more engrained in our culture than we think and will only get worse. The most frightening example was at Shawnessy train station the other day. This train got to the platform and all of a sudden everyone inside stood up in unison and started marching together.
The only thing missing was the Nazi uniforms.

I don't mind George's anthem at all because he does it so shortly and sweetly--no embellishments or stalling, just singing the songs. I hear he's also a decent guy since he was willing to meet my 80 year old aunt when the Flames gave her free tickets for her birthday (her son, my cousin, works in the 'Dome as a cook). She was tickled pink and says George was very kind to her  Thanks Flames!
