That was good stuff. I don't think they were playing any sort of long game, they just realized a smart opportunity and leaned on it. Even in the video games he was named that(original, not last night's name).
Did anyone catch the 25th anniversary concert on much? Because it was amazing. I wish I could have seen it in person. Red Rocks might be the best concert venue in North America.

It's on Paramount+ (You can get a 7 day free trial) but on top of that you need to use a VPN as I believe you need an American IP address to watch the concert on Paramount+.
So I was there for both nights, first time at Red Rocks. Red Rocks should be on any music fan's bucket list, it truly is as spectacular as it gets. They run shuttles from Denver to the show and back for $45USD, so not bad and means you don't have to rent a car or take an Uber. But...yeah I should have lol. Most of the best merch was gone by the time I got there around 6:15pm, they were doing tailgating for the show and had merch on sale then, so the smart ones got there early for merch. I'd also say maybe sit closer to the top, both because it makes the beer/bathroom treks much easier, but I personally found it sounded better near the top. We were row 27 the first night and at times it felt like too much, maybe the first time I've ever craved ear plugs at a show.
As to the show itself, I wouldn't say it was the very best concert I ever saw, but it might be the most memorable, both for the venue and the fact I watched a show with plenty of music and rocking, but more laughs than anything. The highlights for me were the ridiculously over the top ballad version of Uncle ####a, Lemmiwinks (there were a few funny mistakes the first night so the Paramount+ version is probably night two), Man Up (first night only), Gay Fish, and of course Rush showing up, although they were not there the first night.
Matt and Trey are both pretty talented musically, although Matt kinda got put on the spot for the surprise Rush appearance. He did not bad on his drum solo, maybe not Neil Peart level good, but better than Meg White! Overall it was a very slick production, you could tell they really wanted it to be a great event, and they certainly pulled it off.

Maybe sold out by now but a bunch of merch, including the concert posters, was made available online. I almost bought one but decided I have too many show posters as it is, especially for a show I didn’t attend.
Yeah they said there was "exclusive" merch only at the show, but I didn't really look at what was online. I was keen on this poster until I got there and it was $200USD. Absolutely sick poster, but that is a tough one to justify.

New season is great, the Tolken episode was up there for me with the top episodes of all time.
Love how they turned it around on all the wokersons of the world and their witch hunts.
