Really hoped the Flames of the previous 2 seasons weren't the real Flames but I'm seriously having doubts now. They look no different.

Backlund is killing that second line. He has nothing offensively. Bobbling pucks and turning them over in the offensive zone.

We had lots of odd man rushes that period. Just need to find a way to connect on a pass or get one of those many rebounds...

Jesus, our offence has just gone ice cold over these last few periods. Seems like Oettinger is in their heads and they're maybe gripping their sticks a bit.

Well, there's still 20 minutes to go.

But one goal in 5 full periods is a little concerning. Might be time to just get some garbage goals to get the mojo back. Not nearly enough traffic in front of Oettinger. He's given out some rebounds tonight too.

A much better period, definitely unlucky to be behind but still generating nothing at 5 on 5

Lindholm looks great tonight, Johnny looks a little off.

Stars are studied up on the bumper pass on the power play, gotta try something else. That's gone stale.

If you can't handle Dallas being given kudos, don't watch the intermission panel.... You've been warned!

Dallas isn’t generating anything either. This hockey is a slog.

I don't buy this. Backlund has been arguably the brightest of the very few bright spots of the Flames this game. One of the very few guys generating anything dangerous offensively tonight.

Sutter needs to wake them up. Gotta get bodies in front of Oettinger, wreak havoc in front of him.

Main thing I'm noticing tonight is the passing and puck control isn't crisp. Too many bobbles and lost opportunities.

That and swap Toffoli and Coleman around at even strength.

Players gripping sticks and over thinking it.

Oettinger gives up a pile of rebounds

Exactly. Flames have had a ton of quality chances to score and were the better team in that period. They're just snakebitten for some reason. Not to mention Oettinger has been outstanding.
