Default Bold early predictions for 2015-16 Season

I thought because we're into summer, there won't be a lot of Flames or Hockey news until late August that we should do something to burn the time.

So here's the dealeo, make as many predictions as you want about what's going to happen in the NHL this year.

In fact

Make a bold Flames prediction, it could be standings, a trade, an angry exchange between players and coaches, a contract signing whatever

Make a bold prediction about a Western team, see above

Make a bold prediction about anything else NHL related.

It can be funny, it can be serious, its a way to while away the 35 degree heat, damn teenagers running across your lawn, and your neighbours 20 pound poop factory ruining your rose bushes while your daughter goes on a date with a guy named Skeeter.

Flames prediction - While the Flames are in a playoff battle and sitting in second in the Pacific at the trade deadline. Brad Treliving makes a splash picking up Max Pacioretty for a B level prospect, a 2nd round pick and a autographed version of his Dad's autobiography. During the trade deadline press conference, Treliving heaps praise on Montreal GM Marc Bergevin "Montreal fans should be really pleased with this deal. Marc did good"

Western Conference predition - The Vancouver Canucks come out of the gates like the Washington Sentinels in their first game, stumbling like they tripped over a line put in place by the nasty bullying starting players. Jim Benning is unceremoniously dumped and Trevor Linden takes the GM duties. The Sedin's agree to waive their NMC's and demands to be traded to the same team. One of them ends up in Buffalo and the other one ends up in New York with the Rangers. During the first game between the two teams a terrifying slap fight erupts between the two twins and now mortal enemies. Henrik vows to get his cheap shotting punk twin brother. Daniel phones his mother for advice.

At the end of the year, Gary Bettman announces that Las Vegas will receive an expansion franchise and the teams name will be the Fighting Kenny Rogers. Kenny is announced as the teams GM and anthem singer. The teams logo is Kenny's face pre plastic surgery. When discussing the tough negotiations to get this deal done Bettman announces that "Sometimes you have to know, when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, know when to run"

Edmonton plays decent for the first couple months and are actually in a playoff spot ahead of the Flames. Fans get cockier then ever. However a hilarious freefall occurs around December and they are back in the cellar.
