Its not Connor McDavids year. Perhaps when he plays his first season for another team they can just hand it to him. PTSD has to be a nomination category yeah?

It's crazy that they thought returning from a pretty basic injury would be contention for the Masterton.
There are 10 guys a year probably that come back from serious knee injuries, nothing that's on the level of the other three guys nominated here.
Edmonton media and fanbase once again hyping their own team's stories.

2 years of post concussion syndrome. Went through hell and came back to play. His story is pretty tough to get through. Living in the dark constantly, dealing with depression etc. Hell of a battle to get back into NHL games.

I would have liked to see David Ayers get a nomination in some way or if we lived in normal times seen him as the presenter.
Not suggesting he win it but may as well keep going with feel good stories.

I do have to agree with Terry Jones, McDavid should at least be nominated. The kid looks like he's caught every disease imaginable, he has to play for the oilers and he has to put up with idiots like Terry Jones all the time.
