I am both glad and relieved that it was caught early enough. Cancer docs in Calgary do an amazing job. My father went through it, and their work was excellent and they were very helpful throughout the process. They are very helpful with any sort if information that might be pertinent.
Get well soon D'Arcy.

My father-in-law and a guy I play hockey with both found a lump in their back within months of each other (they don't know each other) and were both diagnosed with the exact same type of very aggresive cancer. Both caught it early and both defeated it within a year. They both can't say enough good things about the cancer staff in Calgary and they both credit the docs and nurses and anyone else involved with curing them. In short, you're in good care.

Really good to read D'arcy.
I think I can speak for many when i say that reading the initial news yesterday morning was a gut punch from a Mike Tyson right hand.
Though we have yet to meet face to face, I have been hanging around this place going on 18 years now like several others have. Its part of our lives and when the grand poobah has to deal with such horrific stuff, well......you know.
Anyhow, give em hell and if you need ANYTHING, let us know and we will do our damnedest to make it happen.

You have an amazing and supportive wife, D'Arcy. Watching my father battle Colon Cancer some years ago and how supportive my mother was, makes the journey less lonely. Be sure to tell your wife how much all of CP appreciates her for being with you during the treatments.
Cancer may have started the fight, but you will finish it with a victory.

I hope you'll forgive me, Bingo, for hanging back and not commenting till now. I'm never sure what to say until I hear what the prognosis is.
It sounds like you had a bit of unbelievably good luck to help you counter a bit of unbelievably bad luck. Here's hoping and praying that the good luck continues unabated from here on in. I'm extremely confident that you're in good hands, professionally and personally. Now go and give that thing a big helping of curbstomp!

Wow crazy stuff Bingo sorry to hear about your (winnable) battle but am very happy to see you have such a great partner in your wife and lots of love and well wishes behind you to pull this off. Cancer is unfair and uncompassionate but I marvel in the countless examples of the strength displayed by the all too many patients and their families. I love this site; it’s been a part of my life for well before I even joined and it’s helped build my fandom to heights that it honestly never would have reached without having the help of CP to grow it and you are to thank for that Bingo you’ve built a great hockey community that is team-diverse and world-diverse in its active members and I’m proud to be a part of it.
Here’s to kicking cancer’s ass brother
All the best <3

Cancer is like the Oilers; its just the worst.
So no worries, because Cancer, like the Oilers, is beatable.

That's quite the relief D'Arcy! Glad to hear that you're battle-ready and swinging for the fences. Chemo is a tough bastard, but you're tougher.
We look forward to the day you post here about finally being cancer free sometime in the near future. Will keep regular tabs on this thread in the meantime.

Attaboy Bingo!
I am a believer in the right mental attitude to fight crap off like this. The survivors seem to be the ones that refuse to give up. Sounds like this is a 'best case scenario' situation, but I am sure it is still going to give you a lot of ups and downs. The people who love you in life are going to help you through them, and don't for a second feel you shouldn't reach out to them. That's their job as somoene who loves you.
Us here on CP? We are also right here to back you up and keep you walking instead of falling down and feeling sorry for yourself. We are all behind you. You have given us an outlet in which we spend (way too much) time in discussions (and arguments), and I know for a fact that most of us appreciate it. I am sure we will not only support you, but we will also keep arguing with you here and keeping you busy Distraction is an often welcome friend during tough times and allows one to catch their breath.
Best of luck Bingo. We are all rooting for you, and we look forward to the announcement of you kicking some serious ass in this fight and winning it!

I was not expecting to see this, logging on, wow. But cancer is always unexpected.
I wish you nothing but the best my friend. Great to hear you caught it so early.
You got this. You've got a great family and more supporters than you could ever imagine in your corner.
Now get out there and fight!
