I like Jacob Markstrom
Time for a change of tune around this team's starter after all those terrible disparaging threads earlier this season.
Who doesn't love a redemption story?
Go Jacob Go.
Go Flames Go!

He's an easy guy to cheer for. I love his personality and his fiery competitiveness, but his play for 75% of the season has completely handicapped this team and put them in a hole of almost no return.
That being said he has 180'd his game over the last couple weeks now and it seems the team has followed suit (4-1-1) if he can lead them into the playoffs and lead them into the 2nd round or further its hats off from me.

Seeing that he was so enthused celebrating Vladar's wins when he was down and taking the brunt of criticism for the team's struggles speaks volumes about the guy's character.

It goes to show if he had played the way he is supposed to all season they would be sitting pretty

He’s been great lately. If he can sustain it they are still in the race as Wpg is in a big nosedive.

It was really the coolest thing to see. And they way he was supporting Vladar during the time outs, leading breathing etc.

I like Markstrom and have nothing personal against the guy. He was lights out last season for the most part, but he blew it this season. Unless he goes on an insane streak and the team makes the playoffs, I'm not about to congratulate him for anything this season.

I was begging the Flames to let a couple more shots go on Markstrom at the end of the game because I just knew someone would complain he was under .900.
Not to mention one goal was on a blown icing call.

I honestly didn't even think to look at his save percentage because he looked GOOD. Super stoked he has his game back for this team moving forward.

I just saw with about 3 left that it was 19 shots and 2 goals (and they didn't allow a shot after that). I guess I'm just used to the critics and their in game save % reports. He looked just fine to me. He shut the door after the 2nd goal.
