The Montreal Alouettes have been sold. The deal is expected to be announced during a press conference at Olympic Stadium on Friday morning.
That article is also in French.

I hope he gets the Als back to when they were selling out every game. Watching a game in Montreal when the team was good was hands down the funnest football experiences I've had. That includes watching NFL games live.

Man, that's a great deal for the Lions - I wonder if Huf and Dave even talked to the Ti-Cats about trading for Dane.
The B.C. Lions got a bargain when the team restructured Dane Evans’ contract while acquiring him in a trade from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
The 29-year-old will earn $94,000 in hard money behind Vernon Adams Jr. this season as part of his agreement. That includes a $70,200 base salary, $13,800 in housing money and a $10,000 signing bonus.

Wow. That's a smoking deal on a QB that's started in two Grey Cups and is in the prime age of his career. I would have loved the Stamps to have got him at that price as it would have been the ultimate insurance at the position.

I wonder what BC gave up in trade, and to what extent Evans influenced his landing spot (he wasn't obligated to renegotiate his contract, so perhaps he did so because he wanted to go to BC).
I agree he would have been good insurance here, even if the team is all in on Maier as the starter.

I was in the vast minority apparently but I really didn't like our throwback style as the home jersey. Those kind of jerseys look good here and there or for a special game. As a primary home they look dated and boring very quickly.
Love various iterations of our modern jerseys. The Stamps are the Stamps, they **** it up some years and nail it others, but it always looks pretty sharp.
