Schooled in Calgary from 91-04 never heard of a lockdown drill until several years after leaving school.

Would rather have another term of Trump than Meatball Ron if that's the choice, but I still don't think Trump wins in 2024 even if he's galvanized with the mouthbreather set.
EDIT: lol

Wait lol, no, there's no way people are actually arguing that Glenn Beck is somehow a virtuous and correct person at all? Let me off this ride.

so the party of law and order is not actually the party of law and order if it isn't convenient to them? Well color me surprised, given those GOP politicians normally seem like such stable, sane individuals.

Lol. The only people this galvanizes are the hardcore MAGA cult, which has only shrunk since the last election. No doubt that DeSantis and the rest of the GOP are secretly loving this, as it probably gives them a chance to finally kick Trump to the curb, which is what they've wanted all along.

Yeah, I don't see this as galvanizing in either direction. I guess we'll need to see what the specific charges are, but I understand them to be election finance related, which isn't likely to move the needle because we have known or suspected this to be the case for forever, and it hasn't made any difference to the MAGA crowd and I doubt it means all that much to the independent types. I suppose the libertarian crowd would see this as too much gub'ment, but I think they were already captured in the MAGA contingent.
What DeSantis does with this is most interesting. I would think he has to distance himself from Trump for the primary, but risks losing the headcases in the general (and potentially have Trump run as an independent).

I really depends on how the whole thing goes. If he manages to weasel out of a conviction, it will probably make him stronger. This is pretty much for all the marbles now, so I hope they know what they are doing. If he gets off, his followers will see him as impenetrable and his old followers will likely come back.
I recall watching a short documentary about dictators and how, when they do things that are obviously corrupt and say things that are obviously lies, and get away with it, it actually makes them stronger. A lot of Trump's supporters know he lies about everything and isn't a good person, but for some reason, a lot of people are impressed by people who can do it with impunity. It's like a huge display of power.

Meh.. every single thing you do to Trump people argue will make him stronger. Arrest him - makes him stronger as he becomes a political prisoner. Don't arrest him - makes him stronger because he's above the law. Talk about him on TV - makes him stronger because its free advertising. Don't talk about him on TV - makes him stronger because you are afraid of him.
