The way the season has gone I didn't want to get my hopes up but its hard to contain the excitement and possibility of making the playoffs.
This team anytime you get your hopes up and get that excitement they stab you right in the heart.
Winning the cup with how everything has gone this season would be the perfect ending.

This game really is a great test. The Canucks have been playing well and I'm sure Tocchet will be using the rivalry to get his guys juiced to play spoiler in these last two against the Flames.
On the other hand the Flames have played well enough to get into striking distance of a playoff spot including an excellent performance against one of the hottest teams in the league last game.
Markstrom is giving them competitive goaltending and they seem to be getting just enough scoring to get Ws. Go Flames! Win this huge game and keep this thing rolling!

Canucks scare me a little because they have been rolling lately, but you also know that they would love to play spoiler for the Flames. They are likely going to give it a huge effort tonight.
The Flames looked very driven the last game too, so I am expecting a good one tonight. I think it is all going to come down to Markstrom.

Vancouver is a team that you wanted to play earlier in the year when Demko was out and they were more of a dysfunctional mess. Now that the pressure is off they have been playing pretty well lately. Peterson, Miller, Kuzmenko, and Hughes are all having better seasons offensively than most anyone on the Flames. So Flames best be ready to drag the Canucks into a street fight with high intensity. If they let the Canucks run and gun this could get away on them fast. Whereas a team who's out of it like Vancouver might not be as willing to fight tooth and nail to get through one of their last 7 games.

Teams like the Nucks who are already out of it are playing loose and want to be the spoiler so the Flames will have to play tight and physical and make it a miserable experience for the Whale team.
