How has Schwindt looked this season? Any future NHL hopes or was he just a throw in for the Tkachuk deal.

I think Scorp said at one point that he thinks Schwindt looks like just another AHL journeyman.

Well, if he did say that, I would have agreed with him. He looked like AHL fodder right through camp this season.

I know, it was a jab or anything. When it comes to development of a player it's tough to predict. I don't think Schwindt was a "throw in", he seems to have NHL qualities. Time will tell if he puts it all together and gets to the show.

Yes and weird that they clinched a playoff spot a while ago and no news yet on playoff ticket availability/pricing for season ticket holders (despite the Flames already sending me an invoice for their playoff tickets when they are statistically unlikely to make it!)

I wasn't quite so dismissive. As others have said, he has NHL tools. He just hasn't been consistent enough and I worry about his skating.

That’s because in the AHL playoffs the first place team gets a bye in the Pacific Division. I think they’re waiting to see where they end up in the standings.
