I'm not asking for the world, but a Pastrnak-lite would be great. Hoping for a consistent 25-35 goal scorer, maybe a couple of 40's in his prime. I truly believe Huberdeau can get this guy rolling. He did for Duclair and Tippet in Florida.
Maybe lets get him into a game first and see what we have. Baby steps.

Bumping this because of the decision by USA to play Coronato at centre. He's been listed as a wing on every site I ever saw, but he seemed to do just fine in the middle. I wonder if he can become a centre option, given talk of Lindholm and/or Backlund being traded.

I believe he got played at centre in his last year of College as well? I didn't watch any of the tournament, but definitely interesting to hear Coronato played centre during it.

Yeah they had some injury issues and he was moved to center.
People said he seemed to be pretty effective in the middle of the ice too.

He just seems to be effective no matter where he plays, which bodes well for us. I hope he has a strong showing at camp such that he gets to start with the Flames.
Coronato played center a LOT at college. I think even at the WJC too. Would be amazing if he could develop into a strong two-way guy down the middle in the NHL.

Even more than that, I hope we have a coach that will put him on the Opening Day roster if he has a strong showing at camp.
Yeah I'd say Coronato, Pelletier and Wolf are in the fold. Could mean some trouble for Ruzicka if he's an option at center as well.
I figure there's room because Lindholm or Backlund will go. It's going to be a much weaker team down the middle but if Coronato can fill a role, it's better. Trouble is - he may run into a Bennett issue where he was behind Backlund Monahan/Lindholm as a centre option so he was stuck on 3rd line with Jankowski and whoever.
He won't get top six time unless he plays with Kadri or one of Backlund or Lindholm, he won't play centre without being third line. If it's Lindholm I guess they could do a hybrid like when Lindholm and Monahan played together. But I view Lindy as the most likley to go: less team history, bigger salary eslewhere and more return in a trade.
