Still, will he be as good shoehorned onto the right? Does he play there a lot in Stockton?
I suspect he's had to play RD, since there's only Yelesin with a RHS down there.

I am pretty sure the Flames were running with these pairs in the third period on Saturday after Hamonic was injured. I thought they all played really well.

But this almost never happens on the same day a player is recalled.

It's not exactly "putting the player in a position to succeed". Though it is only Stockton - SJ. Which is a 1.5 hour drive or so.

Right, but as a rule teams want to see the player in a practice first before he makes his NHL debut.

I see the Heat played @ Iowa yesterday and Saturday.

Interestingly, they play in San Jose on Wed.

Totally agree. Did Yelesin have any practices in his previous recall?

This is like Yelesin's third recall of the season, though. He still hasn't played a game. It must be pretty frustrating to be perpetually sidelined like that.

When he sees larger paychecks being deposited I'm sure he'll be happy.

Yeah, making 12 times as much cures a lot. Plus I'm sure he's told exactly what the plan is.

Anyway, he's played 166 NHL games versus Yelesin who's played zero, and will have just got into SJ today.
On an unrelated note, red wine is my drink of choice during Flames games.
