Default Penguins at Flames 7:00MT SNW and Fan 960

After a brutal loss to end the 7 game win streak the boys are back and ready to begin another stomp to 10+. I won't argue the call, as a good team pushes through and overcomes such adversities. Tonight we find out what Ward's team is made up of. Do they prevail and show what we know, they are for real? Tune in to find out!!!

I'll add fancy stats and lineups (or link to the posts eh sureloss?) as they come available

I think the boys seemed to really enjoy practice yesterday. Normally, it's all business, but so far I am really impressed with how Ward seemes to be a living, breathing example of culture change in the NHL. When the players are having fun, there is usually less pressure, which means that the team will play with confidence. I hope that translates into a win tonight over a usually very dangerous Penguins team.

Maybe this will be our Pittsburgh game.

On a serious note, I expect activity around roster moves this morning.

The last streak was a practice streak. This will be win #1 of a 10+ game winning streak.

Going to my first game in 3 years, so I predict 3-0 for the good guys.

Would like to see Bennett draw in for Janko.

We have more than enough capable penalty killers. Other than the PK Janko has offered nothing this year.

Three years is 1,092 days. I predict a 1,090–2 win for the Flames.

Until the Carolina Janko has looked MUCH better the last 6 games, but everyone has looked real good under Ward the last number of games, and Janko on average this year has been the worst player on this team.

He needs to sit in favour of even Zac Rinaldo right now.

I don't care how many they win this month as long as they beat the damn Oilers on the 27th!

I certainly hope the Flames win more than one more game this month. It would frustrate me immensely if all they managed to do was to beat McHobo and his misfit toys.

Man our PP is terrible for the amount of "talent" we have on it. Maybe a shake up of the PP lines is in need to freshen things up.

Season is still long and we'll make the playoffs easily. Unforgivable was them tanking to the Oilers in the last game of the season to rest for the playoffs. How did that turn out?

Also what's the point of making fun of them when you can't beat them?

I would like to see a nice quick goal to end that shutout streak right away.

There are seven games left in December. You are honestly okay with the Flames going 1–6 so long as they win on 27 December? Not me.

Sure why not? they could easily go on a 7 game winning streak in January.
But we have to beat the Oilers by at least 4 goals...
and looking at the remaining sched for this month, they would need to try REALLY REALLY hard to lose some of those games.

If it makes you feel any better, Pittsburgh’s is even worse despite having Crosby and Malkin.
