Unfortunately, there are indeed people who do take it to the extreme. Even without them, the design of the area is bad/was never intended to handle the sheer volume now.
It is a terrible gongshow. I sometimes go southbound there and I swear I can see people's souls shriveling in agony as they sit there stuck day after day.
