Didn't the Hawks get like 50 shots on goal in the Vancouver game and actually likely deserved a better result?

Perhaps, but, the closest they came to beating Markstrom was a cross bar. Also, not enough traffic to make the shots dangerous.

I had a quick scan through the headlines but I haven't seen any information on Gio??

Any update on where he is? Skating etc? By Monday's game that would be pretty much 2 weeks.

First game home after a successful trip, bad team with very good players that could be easily overlooked and teams like Boston and Tampa coming up soon...this is the perfect excuse for a gap game effort.

Good opportunity for for this group to show that they want to be a playoff team and take what should be a "gimme 2 points"...

He is on IR.

I think “week to week” may well mean Tre does not want to tip his hand before the trade deadline. Other GMs are always quick to offer help to a team in need

No. What I mean is that, since just after Christmas, Rittich has been wildly inconsistent, has a bad save percentage, and is letting in a lot of soft goals. Just ho look at the game stats. He has not been good in 2020 overall.

He did play well in the Van and SJ games and a few others.

Normally I would agree with but it seems over the last few years the flames have not had a ton of luck with that strategy, so I am ok with big save dave tonight!!

And the team has been wildly inconsistent

Remember the awful game against the Oilers? Not a lot Rittich could do on a number of those.

Talbot by contrast was perfect on a large quantity of shots last game, but most of them were really not so dangerous.

Tough to compare goalies especially over a short time frame when the game to game challenges vary so widely

I think both goalies have played relatively well this year

I think this is gonna be a tough game. First game after a road trip and Hawks are going to be desperate, pissed off and due for a road win. Hopefully we get the good Flames tonight.

Brutal. How is this guy is #2 at sportsnet? Ball is way better. At everything.

Ball would be ideal, but why not just someone like Shorthouse? FAAAAR better than Randorf any day of the week.
