I noticed the Oilers use McDavid on PK. I guess he needed more ice time.

McDavid with a goal, 24 minutes of McIcetime and still they lose 4-1.

I don’t like Toronto, but ... Matthews. 9 goals in 5

It is early, and has been a long time since anyone talked about it, but is 50 in 50 in the cards?

(Or do the bruised goalies get bigger equipment)

Impressive but they have yet to play a playoff team from last season. Hope he does though. League max contract.

Leafs are playing other defensively porous teams to start (great scheduling by the league to hype up Tavares). That scoring clip won't continue.

Always, always a few outrageous stats in the first two weeks.

Lots of SHUTOUTS from Thursday's OOT. Pekka Rinne stops all 29 shots as Nashville beats the Jets 3-0 and Hartman has 2 points. The Kings beat the Habs by the same score, 3-0. Jack Campbell, the Kings back up stops 40 shots and Jeff Carter has 3 points. It's the first time the Habs get shutout in their home opener. The Devils put the Capitals through hell with a 6-0 burning. Kinkaid makes 21 saves and Palmeri scores 2 goals. The Caps had Pheonix Copley in net.

The Rangers steal a win over the Sharks, 3-2 in OT. The Rangers tied it up with about 2.5 minutes left in reg time and won it just 37 seconds into OT. Skeji with the GWG and Lundqvist played very well in net for the win making 41 saves. Sorensen scored a SHG for the Sharks.

The BJs defeated the Panthers 5-4 in reg time. Wide open game and the Panthers out shot the BJs 22-5 in the 2nd period as Korpisalo held the fort in net for Columbus. Panarin with 4 points and Dadonov with 3 points.

The Avs pounded the Sabres 6-1 in Buffalo. It was 3-0 after the first period and the Avs cruised the rest of the way.

Gotta say Nilsson played well in net for the Canucks making 33 saves as Vancouver beat Tampa Bay 4-1. The Canucks did get 2 empty net goals but were down 1-0 midway through the 3rd period.
