As a man who was but a young boy when the Flames donned these silks…
They are oh so bad. Not in a good way. It’s like the C is bouncing around them like a screensaver.

I don't have a problem with a black pedestal jersey. But why the red colour on the arms? That makes it look awful. Personally I'd rather an 04 black jersey, but that's just me.

We have the best kit in the league. Our reverse retro was very well received, and I’m a pretty huge fan… don’t see how you could come to that conclusion.

You mean the team with the current reigning #1 home and #1 road jersey in the NHL?

Can someone make a reverse of ‘04? But with a white C? Could look good if my imagination is correct.

It literally says “Prediction” in that image, and the template was designed by some rando (?) on twitter.
I’ll wait until there is an actual “leak” from a legitimate source…

I think we just have to accept that people will wear black and other colours to games in the regular season. The Blasty jersey is an incredibly popular look around the league, not just in Calgary.
But as long as the Flames message it right then I think people will leave the black jerseys in their closet come playoff time. The Flames had a black jersey in 2004 and it didn't really have any impact on the C of Red.
It's like the old argument I used to read here that the Flames didn't want to design a good white jersey because then more people would buy it and break up the sea. I don't think it matters much in the regular season, wear whatever Flames jersey you want. In the playoffs? People will always wear red.

Yeah, I don't think there's any way they'd make it that bad with the colour combinations.

They don't need to be good. They have already hit upon perfection. The original red and whites, they should have just shut down the jersey design department.

Yes, the ones based off an original design from 50 years ago, that the team stopped using almost 30 years ago and finally brought back after years of pleading and begging from fans while using jerseys with FLAGS on them instead?
You're not making the point you think you're making.

Pretty sure the flags thing was a Ken King thing only. Nobody else wanted that. But you are right about the begging and pleading part.

Well established that it was a Ken King thing but that doesn't excuse how terrible it was, and how long they used them for. The Flames were one of the last remaining teams to still use the Reebok edge style jerseys (with the flags) as an alternate last in 2021. Just horrible design with misguided stubbornness.
Last good jersey they designed - truly - was the 2000 then white home jersey based off blasty. They then turned that into the much loved 2003 red one.
