Switched to Chrome because FF would ask me to re-enable my extensions everytime it upgraded.

Chrome sure renders faster but its UI needs some work.

Windows is not a vulnerable OS if you know what you're doing. It's no more vulnerable than a Mac.

Today I downloaded Netscape Navigator for my Win10 PC.

It's going... well, it's going.

I still have a soft spot for Opera, it really was the browser that invented all the modern features we are accustomed to like tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, dial pages, private browsing, CSS support, and saved sessions, etc... but that was 15 years ago and Chrome just can't be beat because of integration across devices and platforms and the cloud.

You laugh, but I actually have to use IE7 for some of the web-based software that Alberta Government uses. They built this software using SVG ages ago, which was discontinued by Adobe in 2009 and only works up to IE8 lol.

Abundance? There's only one, and it's Chrome. The rest don't count

I was using Chrome for years but I found it became slow and laggy. Could have been an extension but it pissed me off to no end so I switched to Firefox, been enjoying it.

I had stuck to Firefox for the past decade but recently switched to Chrome because persistent fanboy friends insisted it was better.

I dunno, it's more or less the same. It's a browser. You've used one you've used em all

SVG plugin on IE? Would this be a mapping application by chance?

Plus Opera was just bought by the Chinese...

Has anyone here tried the new browser called Brave?

Ive been playing with it for a day and really enjoy it so far. Much quicker than Chrome or FF.

I use it as my browser. It is awesome, fast, and it blocks pop ups better than any other browser I have used. If I am out and have to use my phone to stream a sports event from a shady site I get none of those 20000 pop ups and redirects.

I am typing this on Brave on my TV android box right now. I use mostly Firefox in my Surface.

Brave reminds me a little bit of Opera GX in a good way. I might poke around it a bit over the weekend and give it a go in replacing FF Focus on my phone.

Played with Brave a couple years ago and thought it was decent.

Ended up switching back to firefox with adblock plus and ublock origin though. Part of me just wants to support a non chromium based browser.

Interesting bump from 2016. I have always been loyal to Firefox, mainly because the data collection of Chrome/Google was always a turnoff, perhaps even more so today.

In recent years Firefox has improved a fair bit, and I don't feel like I am using it out of principle to stubbornly prove a point, while sacrificing performance. It works well. Great, even.

It is fast, it doesn't hog resources like it used to, there are a tonne of useful extensions, it has a decent iOS mobile browser (regular Firefox and Firefox Focus for extra privacy), tabs and history sync between all devices, etc. And I just like having a browser that is more private and independent.

Brave has been around for a while now. Used it years ago but always end up back on Chrome. The convenience of chrome is hard to pass up at times.

I do use Edge for a lot of my work related pages especially with M365. The sleeping tabs option is nice so it is not just sitting there eating ram.

Vivaldi is nice as well but there can be a lot to setup around it.
