I'm starting to get really excited for the season. No idea what we're gonna see. I'm guessing it'll be closer than last year but not quite as close as 2021.
What I'd really love to see is a 3 or 4 way fight amongst drivers. Having Merc vs RB is fun but when it's really just Ham v Max with the 2nd driver on each team having no real role except act as a blocker, it takes away some of the fun. And I think George could be maturing enough to give Ham a real run for his money this year. Throw in a few Max retirements and a strong showing from Ferrari (lol) and we could get a great championship battle.
Then of course the best of the rest could be interesting. Do Alpine continue to falter with reliability? Are McLaren ever going to take another step? Can AM move back into top 4 status?

I dont disagree that winning a pole should garner something, but its hard in a F1 pool when you really only have 3-6 drivers with a reasonable shot.
Its why I suggested the most correct picks gets that 3rd prize. Maybe we combine the ideas and say whoever picks the most 10th place slots correctly wins?? With crashes, mechanical failures, penalties, etc. nearly any driver could realistically end up there.
One thing I did forget...Sprint Races. I personally think they're kind of gimmicky, but they do spice up the GP. I have NOT included them, but I can.

To be fair, the RB18 was slightly different with the Oracle sponsorship on the side pods.

While true. The Tobacco sponsored cars. All of them, were iconic liveries. Every single one. Aside from the product they promoted, those color schemes were all brilliant.
Players Forscythe
Marlboro McLaren
Rothman Williams.
Lucky Strikes Honda.
Camel Williams
Marlboro Ferrari
John Players Lotus
B&H Jordan
B.A.R 555 double livery.
Even the Nascar ones were awesome. Then again everything sponsor related pre 24Dupont was awesome too.
I don't care too much for RB liveries. Their best IMO was their Suzuka livery of the last couple years.

New Alfa. Gotta say I like it. I liked the old one too but this one is equally striking. Not as elegant but more aggressive looking.

I'm not a fan of sprint races or fastest lap point, but if we're going to stick with those I'd also do 1pt for fastest in each of Q1 Q2 and Q3. It would help extend the championship fight (more pts avail per weekend) and really ramp up every single session near the end of a close battle.
Make the drivers push themselves and their cars all the time...it might also mix up tire strategies - do you get through Q1 on a slower tire, or go for the point?
29pts is 1 away from a round 30...there could be a few options for another possible point (only get it if you sweep Q1/2/3, or maybe fastest aggregate time of laps from each session) but really 29 is fine - you used to get 9 pts for a win after all.

New Alpha livery is a nice change. A bit of color splashed in.
