Haha. She was also funny on Update as the Girl you wish you didn’t talk to at a party.

Che and especially Jost seemed so off during Update and I was wondering why until the Cecily news became known

I wonder if she plans to get more politically active or go the Jon Stewart / Jon Oliver route. She has been pretty overtly political on update and you can tell she cares a lot about what is happening with womens rights.

I always liked her but particularly her first few years. She’s an underrated singer too, always liked her in music sketches.

The last two weeks have been strong episodes, great Christmas stuff!

Aubrey Plaza and Michael B. Jordan will be the next two hosts on January 21 and January 28 respectively.

Aubrey Plaza turned in a pretty good performance. Her presence obviously allowed the writers to stretch their weird muscles - and I'll take a bit of weirdness over uninspired well-dredging any day.

It was funny becuase we had just finished watching Emily the Criminal, and I checked to see if there was a new SNL. Blamo, there she is.

agree, a few of the skits didn't really land for me, but felt she did a great job and most of the skits were at minimum inspired

I’d watch it. Also, Pedro Pascal > Chris Pratt.

Bowen Yang has become the star of the cast - does the heavy lifting.

How did Punkie get promoted ahead of Sarah?

JAJ was great as the british rapper.

Pedro struggled at times with the cue cards but he was funny in the coma sketch. Didn't think the skits were very strong, though

I was thinking the same thing about Yang last night.
It's only a matter of time for Sarah, she's quickly becoming one of the stars as well.
Really enjoyed the Pascal episode.

That 1st skit with the game show was about the unfunniest thing on SNL in the past few years.

Also Colin Jost has to be the worst comedian in history. He is terrible.
