Jankowski almost scores on the wraparound after a sloppy play by Lowell's goalie

edit: Lowell appears to score but refs waved it off!
kicking motion maybe? by NHL standards that is a goal... have no idea about NCAA rules.

Its a goal Providence eliminated in the Hockey East championship.
Await the NCAA tournament to start next weekend. The regional groupings will be announced Sunday.

Boston College also lost their semifinal on Friday night.
With the way things stand right now, it looks like Providence will enter the NCAA tournament ranked 4th in the Pairwise. That means they should be one of the top seeds going into the Regionals next week.
The current top four (which shouldn't change after today's games) are: Quinnipiac, St Cloud State, North Dakota, and Providence. The four regionals are being played in St Paul, MN; Cincinnati, OH; Albany, NY; and Worcester, MA.
They tend to have the top seeds play as close to home as possible, so I'd guess that Quinnipiac (which is in Connecticut) will play in Albany; St Cloud (which is just northwest of the Twin Cities in Minnesota) will play in St Paul; Providence will play in Worcester (which is only 40 miles away); and North Dakota will be in Cincy.
It also looks like 6 teams from Hockey East could get invites to the tournament, so there will probably be another couple of Hockey East teams in Providence's bracket.
The full brackets will be announced tomorrow at noon ET.

Official Brackets
Flames have 3 prospects in this tourney.
Providence - Jankowski, Gilmour
Boston University - Hickey
I believe TSN is showing all games on TSN2 or TSNGo

Here's TSN's schedule: http://www.tsn.ca/ncaa-hockey-broadc...edule-1.391473
It looks like the Providence game on Friday will be on TSNGo, and BU's game on Saturday will be on TSN2. If they win their first games, all the rest will be on TSN2, except the Championship final, which will be on TSN4.
Providence's road back to the Frozen Four won't be easy. Minnesota-Duluth defeated North Dakota on Friday night in their Conference playoffs. UND was the top-ranked team in the NCAA this season. PC and UMD haven't played each other since the 2011-12 season, which was Leaman's first year as coach at PC and one year before Jankowski and this year's seniors joined the team.
Here's the head-to-head tale of the tape: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/sch....php?gid=26570
If Providence wins on Friday, their most-likely opponent will be Boston College, who has only lost once to Harvard in their last 12 meetings. BC and PC are very close teams. They tied for first place in the Hockey East regular season. They played 3 games against each other this season, with PC winning one, BC winning one, and tying the other.
BU & Denver are two very close teams: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/sch....php?gid=26577
They played each other once this season, with BU winning in OT at Boston on Halloween.
