Monahan is pretty much being groomed for it. But I think Bennett could be a great captain too, if he reaches his potential.
Won't be a relevant question for a long time though, cause Giordano is retiring in Calgary.

Based on what the perception of the team's "window," it's likely that Giordano is here for at least two seasons (and his usefulness will need to fall off considerably OR a prospect will have to look like Hamilton 2.0 to make the team consider trading him in the next three years).
That said, it's an interesting thought exercise before games start up so w/e.

Whats disrespectful? He started a discussion that all of the other participants are engaging in. You think its disrespectful? How?
Gio is still the captain, but I for one, would like to see him traded in the next few years ( if there are young players able to take his spot) if it makes sense.
No disrespect to Gio, he is both a great player and captain. But sometimes needs change on a team.
I would take Brodie or Mony for next captain.
