I really liked it. This describes it almost perfectly. Actually, there are mixes and matches of Hank, Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill in the cast. Both in terms of looks and characterization.

I'm a big fan of Burr's, and I thought the writing was really good. Lots of underscored humour, but I did laugh out loud at a few things.

I'm always hesitant to get into new shows for some reason, saw Netflix promoting this but was dragging my feet. Didn't realize Burr and Vaughn did it, I'll definitely check it out now.

I loved it. Their was certain scenes of situational humour that really hit the spot for me. It's a different show though and can completely understand how it is not for everyone.

There's not a lot of 'laugh out load' funny in it, and I definitely understand why some people didn't take too it. But I loved it.

Just didn't like how it felt like a trial season and didn't have a lot of things fleshed out, and almost seemed rushed. Hopefully when they make more that's addressed.

Burr said if it's received well they'll probably do a 10-12 episode season for next year

As a weekly episode on Fox it would have struggled.
It was written in a way to promote the ability to 'binge watch' They were originally going to write it in a way that each episode sort of stands alone, like The Simpsons (Michael Price from The Simpsons produced this show as well) It was actually Netflix that suggested making a bit of a story flow through each episode, since they know people will then binge watch more

The bathroom scene brought me back to my first Stamps game when I was a kid. They nailed it.

I have to admit, every time he says "or I'll put you through that ####ing wall" I laugh hysterically.

Every. Single. Time.

I just got around to watching it over the last two nights. I like it. I especially like the flow and progression of the episodes and story.

When I first starting watching I immediately got a vibe that the show was a weird cross between Married With Children and King of the Hill.

I wanted to like this show, and I think there's potential here, but i just didn't find it funny. Maybe season 2 will be better.

Just watched the first episode. Bang on depiction of childhood in the 70s, with big kids terrorising little kids with pellet guns in a patch of woods where dangerous shenanigans go on. Loved the part where the older brother shows up.

"OH SH*T, IT'S JIMMY MURPHY!"

Older brother beats the living tar out of the bully, then gives younger brother a shot for good measure. Those were simpler, more violent times.
