The studio looks so small for The Tonight Show.

I'm one of those rare fools that was sad to see Leno go, but Fallon did a great job tonight. Can' wait to see what else he does with the show.

Coolest part for me was the beginning when he was talking about himself and his family and what he'd bring to the show.

I've become so accustomed to hosts turning every moment like that into a joke, usually self deprecating, that it was really cool to hear him just stand in front of the crowd and pour his heart out about who he is and what he will bring to the tonight show.

Very genuine moment.

I noticed this too. I thought they would at least change up the layout. It's basically the same.

Fallon's going to be very successful, he is such a genuinely nice guy and extremely talented. I've become a big fan over the last few years

You can see how much this means to him. Every night he has so much fun and its contagious, for both the audience and his guests

Tonight - Seinfeld, Wiig
Wednesday - Cooper, Gaga
Thursday - Michelle Obama, Ferrell, Arcade Fire
Friday - Timberlake

Going back to NYC was a great move. Conan misses that sizzle.

Isn't it the orignal studio Jack Paar used?

I have no idea. It would have been cool if Jimmy would have given a rundown on the history of the studio, if there is a history. Ie: is this the original studio, etc.

It's the first week and during the Olympics, so you know NBC was going to pull out all the stops. Conan's first Tonight Show had Will Ferrell and Pearl Jam.

I'm still curious to see how this will work in the long run with both shows being in New York.

6B, I believe so. Still, after 50 years of Johnny, Jay, and Conan's shows being on such a large stage in Burbank/Hollywood, plus Dave's theater, it just seems small for 11:30.
