Attention iCal users
This is my yearly reminder to new and old Mac users who use iCal to keep track of dates, that if you click on the .ics link here: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/teams/cgy/schedule , the Flames schedule, including TV station, will be imported into your calendar, time zone corrected even.
If you have an iPod, it'll sync to that as well, as long as you enable calendar sync in iTunes.

Nice! Thanks!
No SNET coverage yet, but I'd imagine it will get added...

The iCal link imports nicely into Google Calendar as well. It should also load into Outlook if you're forced to use that application.
*One thing to note, the term iCal also refers to the file format which is an open source standard for sharing calendar information.

thank you thank you. Been waiting I'd this!
Edit:
Weak. Turns out mobileme doesn't handle subscription calendars yet (apparently it's a "known issue"). In order to get it on your iphone you need to export the subscribed calendar and then import it. This of course will strip the calendar of it's subscription status, so it won't update (in this case to reflect sportsnet tv schedules). Kind of a crappy work around for now, hopefully this is fixed shortly.

Doh. Yeah, I just realized it this morning. Good to know is a "known issue" instead a "planned feature" though.

I've added it to my Google Calendar. This looks good, but doesn't include Exhibition Games. I've also found the one listed below which does include Exhibition games.

I must be behind the times. I've been using Thunderbird as my email app for, well, since it came out I guess, yet I only discovered the Lightning calendar plug-in for Thunderbird half a year ago. Just yesterday I thought "wouldn't it be great if there was some way of importing the flames schedule, hey, you could make an entire industry out of customized calendars...".
Once again my brilliant, independent idea had already been realized and utilized by possibly millions of people across every platform. Anyways, after trying a few of the different flames ics and csv calendars (the one from flames.com didn't work, some error about timezones), the yahoo one just didn't do anything, I finally thought I'd ask on the Calgary Puck main forum. Luckily a search got me here first, and I'm happy to say the quoted link above (even though the original post is from 2008) worked beautifully. Thanks.

Good stuff! I love having the schedules of the teams I follow in my calendar, it’s tremendously satisfying.
