I stayed away for at least 6 months during the anti-gay marriage controversy. Once they softened their stance and stopped supporting anti-gay marriage organizations, I started going back. I'm sure the owners' views have not changed, but at least these views have been removed from the company. Plus a lot of franchisee's were not very happy with the parent company's stance, so I didn't feel the need to boycott them.

Their food is ok. Chicken is lightly battered and not nearly as greasy as some other fast food chicken. Lots of grilled chicken and other healthier choices. Shakes and waffle friens are good. The best thing is that the restaurants can always be counted on to be super clean.

They're both just so good ... and each day I both wish they were here, and am super glad they're not.

Canada is bad news for restaurant chains. Maybe its regulatory, or whatever; I don't know. I just know that a Denny's in Canada sucks compared to an American Denny's.

I am sure it's the trans-fats or something...

So, is this even confirmed? I can't see anything about it on the interwebz.

Do we need Bigtime to pull some strings to get us this info?

There is probably one rich dude who just picks up franchises and puts them where you'd least expect it just to troll the rest of us.

"Yup, just about time for a 'Bubba Gump Shrimp Comp' in Gillam, Manitoba. They'll never see that coming!"

His tweet was funny:

Harvey's seem to be disappearing at an alarming rate in Calgary, almost Burger King fast.

There's one downtown Vancouver now too; tried it last week.
Chicken burger was good, but tasted a lot like a McChicken to me. Didn't blow me away.

The bigger question is,

Will anyone miss it?

I totally miss Harvey's topping control and pickles.

I totally don't miss the texture of their meat patties.
