Yeah that was a great trade for the Atlanta/Winnipeg franchise for sure. But Pevely was a great short term fit for the Bruins that helped them win the cup. It's a bit like the Ramage and Wamsley for Hull trade.

Probably the most frustrating player on the Flames because he will give you a small stretch of games where he looks great but then he will go on a long stretch of terrible play in his own end.

There is an avalaible top 4 D available in UFA that could potentially replace Brodie. Calvin de Haan. He has played well with Hamonic before. Biggest concern with him is recurring shoulder issues.


Banking on one of our prospects to backfill Brodie’s role (it’s a huge role regardless of what you think of Brodie), is insanely risky.

I think the point is to replace a more expensive D with an ELC and spend the difference on F, not bring in a UFA D

Junior forward Ryan Donato and sophomore defenseman Adam Fox were named CCM/AHCA Hockey Division I First Team All-Americans, the American Hockey Coaches Association announced tonight (April 6). Fox is a two-time All-American – the 12th player in program history to achieve that feat, while Donato earned All-America recognition for the first time.

It is quite an achievement for Fox to be named a first-team All-American in each of his first two college seasons. As good as Gaudreau was, he was only named an All-American in his sophomore and junior years.

Henrik Borgstrom, who recently joined the Panthers after his college season ended, was the only other player to repeat from last year's first-team.
