I'm not sure but i do think it happens a lot. Some research reports it happens in 49% of meningitis cases. Other sources suggest 1 in 3.

Research in the foundation’s report shows 49 per cent of children with meningococcal infection, the most common cause of bacterial meningitis, are sent home after their first check with a GP or other health professional, and not sent to hospital.

The definitive test is a spinal tap so you're going to get some push back at that suggestion. It's hard to find better info but when you Google the topic the first few pages of results are all layers offering to sue your doctor for misdiagnosing meningitis. That tells me it's pretty common.

Seems right.

Also the judge said that this is about reviewing the verdict and not an inquiry into his sons death.

Took him less time to post a video on his facebook page crying about conspiracies against him, and how the press is against him.

Justice Rooke is the best. He wrote the comprehensive Freeman on the Land decision, and admitted me to the Bar.

"through the fault of parents who have decided that vaccinating their children isn't a good idea, my son is now in this pretty scary situation," said max's mother, stefania seccia, 32. "so we're pretty angry about it. He's in isolation on his first birthday."

max's parents are waiting for this saturday — the day the maximum 21-day incubation period for measles ends.

Vancouver clinics have reported that teenagers are going in and asking for the measles vaccinations (among other ones they're missing) thanks to their parents having them skipped over when they were young.

So those 2 things taken together, say this kid gets a lifelong disability, and the man responsible is known, could he be sued for reckless endangerment or something?

I am surprised that you’re even allowed to travel without vaccinations. If you can’t prove you are up to date with your vaccinations you shouldn’t even be allowed at the airport.

The guy at the centre of that, I don’t get. He has children of multiple aged. You get the vaccines at different times. He mistrusted it for that many years?

I've gotta say the correlation being made here is at best a dog whistle playing into the problem with current politics.

Lets make our arguments based on facts and not conflate the anti-intellectual movement that brought us the vacation controversy. With a very real political conversation.

Pipelines might be the safest and environmentally responsible way too move the most effective form of energy we have. and the impact of opposing them might be economically terrible for many people Alberta. But there is still a very legitimate philosophical and factual framework one could form that could lead them to oppose them, to ignore the positions without justification is just a good way to weaken your ability to reason over time.

Anti-vaxers, are basically deeply insecure people who feel the need to virtue signal by bucking conventional wisdom for something better. If they had the time or opportunity to gain real information, they would probably be more secure and aware of what it is they know and down know, and would no longer feel the need to show what they know.

Vaccination is part of the social contract. Somehow, we’ve lost sight of that

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opin...7BQFulxtFnKp5I

Quote:
Herd immunity, the term used to describe the protection conferred on the whole population when most are vaccinated, requires that everyone who is able to be vaccinated does so. It is herd immunity that protects those who are unable to get vaccinated, but will not work if overall vaccine coverage continues to decline. Vaccination, like paying taxes, is a civic duty; it is part of the social contract. Opting out for personal beliefs should not be an option.

Mandatory vaccination is a pragmatic solution to a growing problem. For millennia, death by common infectious disease was an inescapable fate for many. We are fortunate to live in a time and place where this is not the case – and it is our collective responsibility to preserve this.

This measles outbreak is getting crazy, we'd pretty much erradicated the disease in Canada.

https://vancouversun.com/news/local-...ad-to-edmonton

Quote:
The measles outbreak began in early February when an 11-year-old unvaccinated Vancouver boy returned home from a vacation to Vietnam with the disease. He then passed that strain acquired internationally on to several classmates and two of his siblings.

There is only one case that is considered to have been contracted locally, and not related to the 11-year-old boy.

Quote:
Chris Devauld, a spokesman with Vancouver International Airport, confirmed one of two new measles cases reported in Vancouver was a traveller arriving from the Philippines, where an outbreak had killed at least 136 people and infected more than 8,000 people in recent months.

they should be charging the parents with crimes against humanity as their kids have basically becomes weapons of mass destruction.
