Getting STOKED for tonight! With a win, we could be playing the Whitecaps (if they win against Valour) at ATCO Field again soon!

I’m giving away 4 tickets, section 200 row 1. Anybody want to have some fun in the supporters section?

Winning against FC Edmonton is always a good time.

It was far from a classic. But… Cavs won. Edmonton didn’t. That’ll do for a Tuesday night!

Boys looked mostly asleep in the second half but you can't really blame 'em. Edmonton was dreadful

Bevan had some GREAT movement and was able to exploit space nicely.

Simmons missed some passes but I do think he's a key player for this squad. His positioning was nice and composed and was often breaking up Edmonton advances. He's like the pivot point in the middle that the rest of the squad moves around, a real anchor in the midfield.

Nice to see Charlie Trafford get a few minutes at the end too

Yeah Simmons has been a real unheralded rock this season when on the pitch. He's really been solid in the midfield.

It's also cool to see the confidence in Pepple so far as well. For his limited minutes so far, he's really a much improved player since the last time he was here - very strong with the ball, and fast.

“If you’d seen the incident on Friday, he was knocked off-balance and then caught his studs in the turf,” said Cavalry GM/head coach Wheeldon Jr. of Aird, who is slated to have a scan on his knee Wednesday.
Aird was on crutches at the game so that can't be good news.

There's a row of injured Cavalry players on crutches sitting from the Patio Dining Hall section. Add Aird to that list.

Was Charlie in there? Did he play?

First game of the year last night! Missed that beautiful stadium.

Thought Bevan looked excellent in the 1st half. Awesome movement, really created some good chances. Faded in the 2nd half but the entire team seemed to.

First chance to see the new LB Vliet, thought he started off a bit rough, but grew into the game until the penalty. I have yet to see any contact to justify the penalty so very unlucky. Then struggled again after until he was subbed. Hopefully he can get his legs under him and kick on the rest of the way.

Yao was his normal awesome self, if there is a better cb in the league I have not seen him.

Klomp is not an RB in my opinion. Always love him as a CB in a back four, he might have to wait for Trafford to lose form though.

Escalante is so dangerous on the wing, hopefully Vliet allows him to stay there this year.

Between Bevan and Mason, it looks like we have are really dangerous at forward, might make up for the lack of a playmaker in the middle.

Thought overall, the first half they looked great, second half they really dropped off. Hard to evaluate too much as Edmonton is a mess.

Finally tip of the cap to the few FC Edmonton fans that did come cheer, always great to have away fans.

Winner of the Whitecaps / Valour game visits Spruce Meadows in 2 weeks. Whitecaps would bring a big crowd, but I'd love a Valour upset.

I'm hoping for the Whitecaps - I want more butts in the seats at ATCO Field and more eyes on the Cavs from a larger audience! And, a potential underdog story as well!

Whitecaps are up 2-0 25 minutes in. So Whitecaps it is.

Whitecaps looked like they started or used most of the same lineup as they did vs TFC on the weekend outside of Ricketts.

I like Sartini, quite the character on the sidelines.

Cavalinni a second straight game with a yellow card at striker.

Cavs will be in tough with their scoring woes, very hard-pressed to repeat the results a few years back vs Vancouver.
