Did the groups stick last year? Was there anyone initially in group 2 that worked their way up?

I'm a big Pospisil backer.

Guy has the skill set to be an NHLer IMO, hasn't had a lot of luck at the AHL level with injury so far but I think there is potentially a solid bottom 6 forward there.

Meloche played 50 games last year and Treliving paid more than minimum salary to sign him early . He is not a surprise.

All four are interesting.

Toffoli maybe the most.

Great to hear for those guys specifically. Valimaki and Ruzicka as guys trying to make the team and Toffoli and Coleman as guys who had long playoff runs in the season before they came to Calgary.

With Mangiapane not there, there wasn't really another option was there?

I guess unless they went with Huberdeau & Kadri but I don't think anyone thought that was likely day1 anyway.

Yup, can confirm: camp is closed to the public this year.

Ridiculous IMO

Surprised Ritchie is on the 4th line over Lewis to start, Lewis was a key part of the PK last season.

The lines look about right, more interested in the D pairings.

Didn't see the full tweet the D pairings look about right as well, Weegar plays the left side and played with another righty last season as well.

Great to hear guys like Toffoli and Juuso showing up in great shape. I am not ready to write Juuso off.

I know it's only 3 players but what a jarring difference in how the forward group looks.

Do you want Pelletier, Zary and Mackey playing 4th line/bottom pair roles in camp? There aren't enough reps to go around with skilled players so you have to bump some down to a second group.

I'd rather they do this than have them trying to break out while connecting with Rooney, Lucic, Meloche or Ritchie at this point.
