I don't really care about the jerseys or anything like that right now, I am just really happy that

a) they go to a city that loves hockey and where people will really support the club, and
b) they really took the Atlanta logo. That looks absolutely badass!!!

I agree, jerseys are very much a secondary thing as to the fact that they will have a hockey community that will support them and already showing how much they want them. When they left Abbotsford, there wasn't even really a "Save our Team" thing which I naively expected. Seemed more like they helped them pack and ushered them out.

Absolutely agree with these two, also really happy that they are called the Flames and not the Heat.

I don't know where that seat is. The seats are relatively new and in good shape. The arena is clean and simple. The locker room/medical room/offices need work for sure. Glens Falls Hospital is 2 blocks away if needed.
What you can count on is the kind of crowd that will drive the opposition nuts....Here is an excerpt from an article a few years ago when Robin Lehner (Goalie) Bing. Senators had a meltdown.....and he won!!.....

"With B-Sens goalies Barry Brust and Mike Brodeur both out battling a flu bug, Lehner arrived just in time to backstop Binghamton to a 4-3 overtime victory over Michael Leighton and the Adirondack Phantoms on Sunday. And the the 19-year-old Swede said the 26-save win was that much sweeter because of the treatment he received from the fans at Glens Falls Civic Center.

“It was nice (to win) because the fans here are really dumb,” Lehner told the Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin in of the megaphone-wielding fans in the post-game report. “They scream at you, and one guy has a thing that really sounds a lot in your ears. It’s good for them. They’re helping their team out, of course, and it’s hard to play here. "

LOL.....That was the last time they played him here. Sec. N right above the visitors bench is notorious for abusing the away teams. There are megaphones, horns and guys who yell at the guys all game long. Goalies come for a drink and get yelled at. There is a guy in the sec over from us that has a 3ft megaphone that pretty much lines up with the goalie. He lets them have it all game long. It wears on them. We often get looks and verbal contact from the players. They do hear us...lol

I renewed my tix today and am excited to have your team here. I loved the PC. Nice to hear the Flames brass speak and loved their message.

Honestly, my first thought seeing that seat was moreso "Wow, look at the plush seats in that building. Those lucky so and so's" than anything negative about it. That's like sitting on a couch compared to what we have at the Dome.

It kind of looks like a one of a kind double seat for a couple of long time season ticket holders. I think there is two numbers on it.

Will be curious to see their level of support. Pretty small place.

Probably double the level of support that they had in Abbotsford. Lots of hockey fans in Abbotsford, but not a lot of Flames fans.

I think there are a lot of Canucks fans in Abbotsford rather than a lot of hockey fans.

I have a feeling I am going to LOVE the fans in Glen Falls. Might have to take a trip down there and catch a game.

While I hate the fact we lose our inside guys for Heat info and a shorter distance for me to have gone out to see a game, I'm really thinking this was all for the best. The team hasn't even stepped foot on the ice and fans are excited.

I expect that we'll get a handful of insiders eventually, especially once the season starts. Batista's already been a gem so far.
