Bouwmeester a healthy scratch
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.spor...career/sn-amp/
Lots of talk on the forums this year about when to scratch a vet who is under performing.
Guess the blues needs to shake it up a bit. Never liked his brand of defence, but tough to argue with 16 years before his first healthy scratch.

Blues fans I've seen are saying that coming back from the string of injuries in recent years he's totally lost what what was left of his skating ability. I was never a big fan of Bouwmeester on the Flames, but he has had a pretty darn solid career all things said, going out with injuries and a rapid decline like this is really unfortunate.

He was likely furious about it, probably the most upset ever. I'll bet he even said something like "I dont like this"....so much emotion

I's say he showed some dissatisfaction in this interview

If you look back at Dougie's draft day interviews he said he patterns his game after Bouwmeester.

Yeah, I'd definitely sit Bouw more often. His skills are in big time decline and he's also got a ton of hard miles on him. Some get caught by father time sooner, some later.

So this makes the Bouwmeester trade even right? The Flames have no one in the lineup from the trade and now neither do the Blues

I'm going to go ahead and start thinking of the Killer for Leeman trade as currently even.

It is in fairness perhaps a trade to be gotten over at this point.
It does after all have no bearing on the present or future.

I don’t know if I will get over that. I don’t believe I will live to see the Flames fleece a team the way Risebrough got bent over in that deal.
