^ What about Superman III and IV, and don't forget Supergirl! Their only success stories were really Superman I and II and the Burton Batman movies.

Oh, I liked it.

I'd put it ahead of The Incredible Hulk, Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3 without a second thought. Probably ahead of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 2, Doctor Strange and Spider-man Homecoming (not a huge Spider-man fan right now).

Doctor Strange and Spider-Man Homecoming to do not belong on that list with the rest. Both are miles ahead of all those movies, as well as the first Thor and Captain America movies.

This is not remotely true.

All 3 Batman movies were huge successes.

DC also made:

- V for Vendetta
- The Watchmen
- Constantine
- Wonderwoman

DC really hasn't even made that many films. So it's not as though they're constantly striking out.

Avengers: Infinity War
Thor: Ragnorak

Black Panther
Captain America: Civil War

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy
Ant-Man
Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Doctor Strange
Spider-man Homecoming

Avengers: Age of Ultron
Thor
Iron Man 2

The Incredible Hulk
Thor: The Dark World
Iron Man 3

I think I would rank it something like this with movies in each tier being swapped on a whim. It's based on my viewing pleasure, not any other film critic.

I don't know why people didn't like The First Avenger as much as I did, and I also know I liked Spider-Man much less than others, but also apparently like Ant-Man and the Wasp more.

I consider Ant Man and the Wasp to be one of the better Marvel instalments.

I have it on good authority that Christopher Nolan only made two Batman movies and thankfully stopped making them after The Dark Knight.

Me and my wife also both really enjoyed Ant-Man and the Wasp. She wants to see the next Avengers now specifically to find out what happens to Ant-Man (she wasn’t interested before).

I actually enjoyed the Dark Knight Rises. It just reeks in comparison to the Dark Knight, which is an academy award level film.

It was like a setup for nothing.

Cool music video with footage from the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie.

It has a LOT of footage that hasn't been seen before, so maybe avoid it if you want to know as little about the movie as possible.

WW84 pushed back from November 2019 to June 5, 2020. Why does WB make it so hard to be a fan of DC comic movies

This has nothing to do with WW1984 itself. The Joker movie is getting far more buzz than anticipated and set to release on October 4, 2019. The summer is also a much better time to release a blockbuster than November.

The DC schedule looks like:

December 2018: Aquaman
April 2019: Shazam
Oct 2019: Joker
Feb 2020: Birds of Prey
June 2020: WW1984

That's approximately one movie every 4-6 months.

Will be interesting to see how DC does with these next 5 movies considering neither has Batman or Superman (outside a cameo possibly).

Might be good timing for them to take a step back let things settle, try and re build some faith with the fanbase and try again.

It's a much better approach to focus on solo movies. I don't think we need endless origin films, but DC's previous strategy of trying to cram in as many characters as possible into a single film and get straight to the team up movie obviously wasn't working.

I think this has already been said elsewhere, but is now officially confirmed, the Boba Fett stand alone movie is confirmed to be 'dead'.

Quote:
Film journalist Erick Weber revealed the cancellation in a Twitter post, reporting that “Kathleen Kennedy just confirmed to me Boba Fett movie is 100% dead, 100% focusing on THE MANDALORIAN.” With the news coming straight from the head of Lucasfilm, it seems likely that Boba Fett as a stand-alone feature film won’t be revisited anytime soon.

Which is a shame because it goes back to the perceived failure of Solo which again, in my opinion was a failure on behalf of the studio as opposed to a bad film.

Between Solo and Rogue One I'm really liking the one-off Star Wars stories.
