Round 6: Cameron Eden, CalState (NCAA), Right handed.
Hit well as a freshman, then really poorly as a sophomore (which extended into a poor showing in the 2018 Cap Cod League), then well again as a junior (albeit having moved off of shortstop into Left/Center field. Some swing and miss (20% K rate).
Unranked by MLB.com... inconsistent bat and murky defensive profile will do that to ya). Maybe a slot bonus saving pick?

Round 7: LJ Talley, 2B, Georgia State, Lefthanded Hitter.
We must be in the slot bonus saving portion of the draft because NCAA seniors are dominating the picks. He put together a very good senior season with slashlines of .326/.432/.478.

Thanks for the updates guys. Manoah and Williams are the only ones that have piqued interest from me so far but the draft can be such a crap shoot. Interesting to see how these guys turn out. Our last two drafts have been fairly successful imo.

Round 8: Angel Camacho, Jacksonville University, 3B
I can't find anything about this guy except that he apparently got his undergrad done last year (in three years) and is now finishing a Masters Degree. I'm gonna guess that baseball isn't going to be his future vocation and he's a guy they'll sign to play for a summer for 10K and the ability to tell his future kids/grandkids that he was a professional athlete.* the reason I say that is because with the 9th pick the Jays took...
Round 9: Philip Clarke, Vandy, C
... He's a guy. Ranked in the 5th round, has turned down big money in the past, still just a sophomore. No idea if they can sign him.
Round 10: Glenn Santiago: HS SS out of Puerto Rico, Florida Commit.
Toolsy projection guy. Could be another tough sign with the NCAA commit.
*I actually have no idea about Camacho. I'm just trying to figure out how they can grab the potential tough signs when most of the draft looks like guys that they'll need to pay slot for.

How in the flying f that was called safe in the first place is crazy. The ball is literally sitting in the dirt when the ump is calling Biggio out, like isn't that baseball 101?

Griffin Conine is back from his suspension and destroying A ball.
Hopefully he keeps it up and flies through the Jays system. We're in need of OFs who can hit lol

Boy is it ####ing frustrating watching a kid like Biggio, who has a great eye at the plate, get ####ed over by ####ty ####ing umpires. Kid gets a backwards K by taking ball 4.
Hopefully he doesn't get discouraged and start swinging at #### pitches like the rest of this godamn team does.

You're right about the strike out but it's you know who behind the plate calling balls and strikes.
Biggio has already had a few unlucky ꓘ's this season.
Nice to see the Jays actually win a game! Giles still seems pretty locked in.

Undefeated against the Yankees! Lol
Giles is going to get the Jays a high end prospect if they decide to deal him.

Still watching this team, couldn't stay away. Nice to see Giles so pumped after that save. Too bad we haven't been able to see more of him

Teams like the Cubs, Rockies, Cardinals, Braves and Twins all have a need for a legitimate closer like Giles. Surely the Jays could pry a top 3 prospect from one of those clubs desperate to make the playoffs.

Day three of the draft... there might be an interesting "back-up plan" name come up but it'll mostly be just org filler for the short season rookie ball teams. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jays or Phillies use one of their last picks on Braden Halladay.

Pretty sure Camacho is the son of President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho

Pick 11, Nick Neal. A 6-6, 285pd RF? Really? Can he run at that weight?

I'm sure he won't break any home-1st records but I wager it's his ability to trot that they're more interested in.
Looks like the jays grabbed the back-up plan in the 25th round... Nate LaRue ranked 149 - drafted 747.

Yup. Jays... round 32 (Doc's Number). Don't get excited, it's a courtesy pick (he's not like his dad). He plays ball but it's low 80's fastball ball. Hope he enjoys Penn State.
