Just a bump to let everyone know that the new "Snowfall" expansion is out and that the game is free to play on Steam for the weekend. Be careful, however, as many of the popular transportation themed mods need to be updated before they will work.
The base game is on sale for $13 right now as well.

Didn't even know that there was another expansion. Looks pretty good, only $14 CAD.
Expansion pack Mass Transit was just released the other day. Just an FYI. I wish I had zero responsibility in life because I would spend all my time playing this game.

I get discouraged sometimes though when I see guys on Reddit posting their cities and I have no hope in hell of being that creative
Lol, you and me both brother. Usually my attempts at creativity result in paralyzing traffic jams for my citizens. I am hopeless when it comes to road planning. I can spend hours just watching/trying to solve a congested intersection. Result is usually making things worse.

Can you guys point me in the direction of a laptop that would be suitable for playing this game? Like how much do I have to spend to have a laptop that could handle this? I have my PC, but I would prefer a laptop for a multitude of reasons.

Wait a minute, this game is on Xbox One? Anyone know if it's any good? Limitations?

That's a bit of a tough question without knowing your budget. The game's requirements aren't super high, but if you want a smooth experience you'll want to exceed the recommended specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5-3470, 3.20GHz or AMD FX-6300, 3.5Ghz
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 2 GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870, 2 GB (Does not support Intel Integrated Graphics Cards)
The game is a couple years old, so as you can see you don't need a high end laptop to play it.

I installed a SSD a while back, but even before that it ran the game like a dream, regardless of city size or number of mods.
I have no doubt that virtually any mid-range laptop (with discrete video....) will make the game run terrific for you.
I have the following desktop:
i7 2770k
16gb ram
geforce 660gt
ssd with lots of space
or something of the like (I am not home to know exact specs), but I had lots of trouble running this game.
When I can afford to upgrade my chip, mb, and graphics, I will return to this game. SO frustrating to play for an hour and then have your machine crash on you.

You shouldn't be having any issues at all. Try upgrading all of your drivers.
