Anyone want to start a Saturday college football club that meets there?.... all I need is another excuse for wings and beer.

I've heard nothing but good things about Buffalo Wild Wings. I just wish there was a more central location. I still haven't checked out either location in Calgary.

The Shark Club in NE is quite good - 14 foot TV screen! and 2 "smaller" 12 foot screens.
Picture quality is great. Food is good. decent selection on on tap beers. Girls are hot.
Some great pics of old time Flames and Stampeders hanging on the walls.

I liked BWW at first, Sunridge location, but past couple times I went there the servers were in aggressive, offer stuff and sign up for our crap mode. You think you are just getting some wings and then someone approaches you and offers you *thing* and then someone else approaches you and says "hey sign up for *stuff*" and after 30 minutes you're pissed off and hiding under your chair any time one of their employee walks by.

I have never experienced it like that at any BWW I have ever went to. I once had my waitress ask me if I wanted to buy some sauces before. I figured it was because sauce was all over my face so she thought that I really loved BWW sauce.... the truth is I do, and I bought some to take home with me.

Flames central has been dead the last few years apparently. On that note me and my buddy are the only ones there atm

FC is more of a live music/EDM venue than a sports bar.

BWW is overpriced ****. Serving frozen wings as a franchise who's main specialty are wings is a disgrace.

The Kilkenny Irish Pub in Brentwood (NW) gets my vote. Solid selection of beer and good wings!

That's because the food and service sucks. Good venue though.

Yeah I heard Flames Central was moving into a full time concert venue. Not sure if that is true or not.
I live on 17th, so I'll either stumble over to Watchmans or Mugs Pub for sports. Tons of TV's, always have the sound on and decent food.
I went to BWW once and thought it was crazy overpriced.

Hudson's in Crowfoot isn't bad. They always have good food and beer specials on for the game. Just don't order a highball. They short pour there all the time. I've caught them doing it on a number of occasions. Just drink the beer.

Seems like a silly question, but how are the wings there? My book cover judgement is that it is so heavily branded and seems too chain-like to have good wings.
Good TV's too?

if any of you are in Toronto you have to check out Real Sports Bar (next to the ACC, where the leafs play).
It won the best sports bar in north america a few years back, and is just an awesome place to be, especially to watch sports. The food is great, plenty of good beer options, a huge main screen (ie. it's like a cineplex movie screen size) as well as dozens of tv's showing other games. Also, the staff is easy on the eyes to say the least (is that inappropriate as per the lessons learned in the ylyl debacle?!?!)

Wings are superb though a bit pricey. I like my wings saucy and spicy BWW has a great selection of both. They're cooked well and the boneless are delicious as well. Nonetheless, they give away free wing coupons like crazy so that helps a lot.
Literally dozens of TVs all over the restaurant and bar, showing multiple sports. Depending on the time of day they'll even flip the channel to a sport you like if you ask.
