Default Will Brouwer Get Sent Down This Year?

Question is do they have enough guts to waive him and send him down. I don't think so no matter how bad he flounders this year. I think he could be a -50 and they would keep him up. Scared to make Treliving look bad.

They haven't even taken his 'A', so no, they will not send their Alternate Captain to the AHL.

He should be, but he won't. Treliving can't justify it to Murray Edwards with how much he's making and for how long.

If Gulutzan doesn't get him out of the line up next game he isn't the man to take us forward

If he is, it will be far into the season.
After it's been painfully obvious for 30 games.

Bollig got sent down
Seto got sent down
Ortio got sent down

If Tre has to admit a mistake he will, but Brouwer is still NHL caliber for now. He's just the new whipping boy currently.

No.

It won't happen and it shouldn't. Just going to have to grit and bear it with Brouwer this year and HOPE he gets better.

Sending him (or any other somewhat large contract) down to the AHL does nothing to actually get rid of the problem.

Most you can do is PB him and that unfortunately is it.

Always given, never earned.

He should be bought out not on the ice with the goalie pulled.

I'd hope that that kind of effort was him waiting until he gets dealt and not indicative of his play. Otherwise he can kindly go away.

Sending him down absolutely gets rid of the problem.

At least put him on waivers to see what happens. Even if he clears you don't have to send him down.

Best case some team is dumb enough to claim him which helps the Flames.
Worst case it lights a fire under his ass.

I don't care about his contract though, I care that he's a liability and taking a spot that could go to a much more useful player.

Even although this is true. The other nine forwards had a terrible day at the office. Brouwer had an average one

They played him as much as any forward. Doesn’t sound like a player on the outs
