What a dumb policy. Who cares if the wear beards or not. Someone needs to remind the owner that it's a team in the NHL, not a platoon in the US Army.

I don't think a beard is a safety issue for a hockey player. The only time I can recall hearing that was from a fireman because ther respirators wouldn't fit properly with more than stubble on the face.

This actually happened at my work once. We had to do some cleaning of tiles in a server room and had to wear hazmat suits and shave all facial hair.

Agreed, and while its not big in the NHL in a lot of sports leagues personal image rights are worth a lot of money.
