Don't think this is that bad actually.
1st and a 2nd are the only really pieces of value. Moving that to get rid of a bad contract and keep all the players you want (of which the isles actually had good pieces) isn't the worst.
They would have lost one of Pulock, De Haan, Bailey, or Nelson otherwise and those guys are probably worth about the same if you try to trade them on a free market.
Florida deal was worse IMO.
