They could probably move one of Zadorov/De Haan.
I wonder if they go after a big goalie...they could throw a bunch of money at Grubauer and mess with COL.

Except they don't have a lot of money to throw at him. $5.9M cap space as of right now, bunch of RFA contracts to deal with. Then it's the same issue next year, and now with Jones at $9.5M.

Oh hell no.
Forgot when he went nuts a few years ago and traded for Duchesne and Dzingel, followed up by not signing anyone, including Panarin.

They have close to $11M for Seabrook and Shaw you forgot about.

I really didn't follow the CBJ, but, Jones looked good in his Pred years. Boqvist really didn't seem special, as the whole B-Hawk D-corps struggled. After leaving Zadarov unprotected, I wouldn't doubt seeing him moved. Looking forward, I could see the 'Hawks keeping only one of Toews/Kane, when they are due, and from my perspective, Kane has been the better player, in making anyone you line him up with better, and for putting bodies in the seats.
My expectations for the upcoming season, UFAs Hinostroza and Smith gone. RFAs retained Pius Suter, David Kampf, Brandon Hagel, and Adam Gaudette with cheap "bridge" deals. Nylander moved.
I project these Lines:
DeBrincat/Suter/Kane
Strome/Toews/Connolly
Kubalik/Dach/Kurashev
Hagel/Kampf/Carpenter
Borgstrom and Gaudette will get a few looks as the 13th and 14th forwards.
D-Pairs:
Stillman/S. Jones
Kalynuk/Murphy
DeHaan/Mitchell
7th C. Jones, I expect Zadarov moved for 3rd or 4th, as a salary dump, moving DeHaan wouldn't surprise me, as an option.

I would be shocked if Dach isn’t the first line centre.
And that looks like a great 4th line.
And with Borgstrom protected, I expect him to get a long look.

Dach has struggled in the face off circle, and is coming off of a severe wrist injury. They will either protect him, on a lower line,or, if he is to be a top 6, move him to Toews' wing

I don't get why you'd protect Kampf, then not qualify him, and Suter had a good rook year...so I guess Gaudette and Borgstrom get into the regular lines.

They clearly like Borgstrom, and always have,
Gaudette profiles as a very good checking centre.
I don’t think it’s so much they don’t like Kampf or Suter, they just don’t like their salary expectations. They protected Kampf because they had no one better.
Suter was never going to be the 1st line centre, not with Dach and Toews back, and they didn’t want to pay him as such.
Dach is their future, there is no reason to delay that, certainly not at the expense of of a guy like Suter. In some ways he reminds me of Stajan, when he was putting up 50 points as the first line centre. That type of production when you are getting the premium ice time is on a team destined to fail.
