Not to mention he's basically DeBrincat 2.0. Why have one when you can have two!

If the Flames pick at 12 and the draft goes per Bingo’s consensus ranking up to 12, I’d like the Flames to select Sillinger. The reason is his adaptability. In his D-1 season, FC hockey notes he was a playmaker. In his D season, he became a sniper on a weak team. That kind of adaptability shows intelligence and a broad skill set. I like that a lot.

It's telling too, one of the knocks on him in the USHL was that he didn't use his team mates a lot.
But if you look at the stats of his teammates, it might become more apparent why that was the case... Also why I think he's got better offensive talent than Coronato. Coronato had a lot of help, Sillinger was basically alone.

One more version.

Added Bader's top 32 to the consensus. He's very model based and has an interesting (controversial) spin to things.

Very different first round ... not a mock, but a ranking of how they should be picked in order

Interesting. Sillinger at 8 in Bader’s ranking.

So who would people be happy with in the second, knowing what's left on the board? I'd be surprised if Raty doesn't go in the first couple picks either with teams starting where they are or standing pat.

I want Logan Stankoven. I doubt he’ll be there, but I think he’s a terrific player.

I’d be thrilled by Raty, Chibrikov, Stankoven, Pastujov.

Stankoven ranks well in the consensus board. Think you might be right saying he'll be gone. We can hope.

Bob's top remaining players...

Interesting that he had Coronato at number 10.

I want stankoven with pick 2, but he has many of the same qualities as Coronato so they might choose to go somewhere else. Could see them snagging Doan with all the coyotes ties in our organization. I think that would be a mistake personally. We will see

I would have been worried if we took him in the first round, but I agree that he’d be a great second round pick.

Hoping the Flames snag Raty; he was the very early on pick for potential 1st OA and absolutely plummeted but covid affected everyone a little differently and some more than others. Add in adjusting to a new league and draft pressures and it’s easier to understand the drop off in his growth.

Hoping for Martino (fastest skater) or Zellweger (good NHLe), but I think there's a lot of good players that are close. It good be a time to draft a bigger body as well.

I don't think guys like Stankoven, Pinelli, or Chayka will still be around by the Flames pick.

Just a heads up that FCHockey's Derek Neumeier is tackling the broadcast today (as he did tomorrow) on SN960, so if you're looking for a little more Flames-centric feed, you're going to dig.

(also, SN960 promo code on check out now gets you 50% off our 2021 NHL Draft Guide... https://nhlentrydraft.com/guide/ /shamelessplug)

Sometimes guys slide for good reasons.

Kylington was once seen as a top 12 pick iirc, and he slid all the way down to 3rd... So far, I don't have any reason to think that slide was unwarranted...

I am expecting a lot more moves today though, so it should be interesting.
