He was never worth 8.25.

The term remaining is pretty ugly. And a -17 while putting up 24p in 46 gp last year. So maybe he's regressed, or ARZ wasnt that good.
I think ARZ has to retain cap to move him. And if they retained 1.5 to make his cap 6.75 for CGY they could get some useful pieces. In my head, arz would take a 2nd and Kylington. They need picks and young players.
But that term is Uuuuuuuggly

Do you think Laine is enough to pry Monahan out of Columbus or do we need to add?

Somebody I know interviewed Price and his wife yesterday (not related to hockey) and they certainly appeared to be at home in Montreal. FWIW, I take it Seattle isn’t selecting him if their MO is to get him to Seattle for the big unveil.

We'd definitely have to add, plus Monahan would have to waive to be traded here.

Plenty of time between that interview and tonight's roster unveiling for Price to get to Seattle...maybe some players are virtually revealed. There is still the border crossing issue going on right now.

I couldn't believe how much better Jakob Chychrun is than OEL.
Chychrun is probably a top 6 defenseman in the league, and is also probably the most underrated player in the league.
It made Oliver Ekman-Larsson look a lot worse in comparison.

I wonder how much Jordan Eberle would cost from Seattle.

Picking up Dvorak makes Monahan expendable, so I would guess that would be part of the return. Arizona also needs options on defense. Losing Gio means that is not likely to be a roster player, but someone like Colton Poolman (unlikely to get a real look in Calgary) and Kylington could work. Hate to lose Kylington, but he doesn't get ice time here.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Apparently the team interested in Tyler Pitlick is the Flames (just on Rintoul & Surman right now)

Thats interesting... considering Price's wife instagram showed them in Kelowna yesterday, moot point as he wasn't chose anyways. His wife seem to know he wasn't getting picked though, as she also made a note that they were going to the tri cities after to visit family to shut down any rumors

Is the Comparable to Ryan any good on Pitlick's side of things?

Pitlick is listed as an RW, isn’t he?
Would think him and Ritchie would be rotating as the 4RW if this happened
edit: nvm, listed as an RW on Forecaster but as C on NHL.com
