If it’s that important watch it live. If not catch the highlights. Recorded sporting events were maybe feasible 20-15 years ago but now? Good luck.

I have my PVR set to record all the Flames games. This last year I watched maybe 20% live and 80% later that night without any problems having the score ruined. I just make sure I have any notifications turned off on any sports apps.

The argument that people have no time to watch it recorded baffles me, it takes about an hour less than watching it live.

Added Bonus: the ATL is usually up when I'm done the game.

Watch highlights. When it comes to the Flames I can't avoid checking the score as the game is happening and I can't be bothered sitting through a game already knowing the final score.

Even when I was a kid and it was relatively easy to avoid seeing the score, I couldn't be bothered to sit through a whole game recording when I knew I could just fast-forward to the end and see the final score, then go back and check out the goals.

Now that the NHL does the full game in 8 minutes highlight videos, I'll just watch those.

Once I recorded a big (football) game and asked my friend to text me a single message: watch or no. It was watch and I was pleased with the Labour Day Classic result. Otherwise I rarely record games.

That's generally why polls are used, to find out who the majority likes. Unless you were making a joke I'm missing.
