To get Amber alerts with a different level of notification versus an incoming nuclear strike warning.

Holodeck.
/end thread. And all human interaction.
As a hilarious aside, holodeck autocorrects to homosexual. Is it a sign? I think so.

Nanotechnology.. I know it's in its infancy and in 20-30 years will probably be everywhere, but it's going to be such a game changer.

Yup. A Holodeck and replicators would spell the end of all mankind.
That could be a new Star Trek series!

Suicide Booths. Like in Futurama.
Localize it.

I don't really care about new technology. I would love to see denser, more urbanized neighbourhoods connected by ample and available mass transit.

Perhaps in centrally planned blocks? With rent control?
Comrade?

No, no. More like in giant, free-flowing neighbourhoods with tons of amenities and walkable streets. Like Tokyo.
Central planning is what gave us the suburbs.

Delhi has massive infrastructure problems, but in many ways, it is a very livable city.
The human liveliness in one Delhi city block is greater than the entire city of Calgary.

Have you been to Delhi? I've been to Delhi. It's fascinating, but it is also hell. I couldn't imagine living there, but then I grew up in Canmore, so density isn't really my thing. Tokyo and several European cities I have been to are great, but I don't think I could deal with living in them. To many people.

Yeah, Delhi is great.
You could live in any of those cities, you have just been spoiled, like many Canadians, with a type of housing that has been subsidized and centrally-planned since the 1950s.
There is no greater joy than walking through a downtown block of Tokyo where there are very few cars, and a billion restaurants on every corner.

I think you need some friends or something? You seem to crave a massive crush of humanity.
In my experience that gets old after a while. Which is why we are where we are.
Also Delhi Belly.
