Nice. Mine is up. Didn't really look at the full amount but my monthly payment is going up $30. Luckily my paved alley fee ends this year so my tax bill should go down next year.

Mine are up about $4500. Completion of my house is painful.

Like, an extra $4500? Where do you live, Brookfield Place?

Maybe he owns that mansion west of the city, near Highway 22.
Would make sense because it must be finally completed by now.

I prefer the tastes that the sons have, the two penthouse units on the Guardian towers. Not sure if they are both done and occupied yet though.

I just don't understand why you would build a garage with 10 doors that look like store fronts in a low rent strip mall instead of one parking garage with one door, and maybe some windows.

Are there any recent photos of that place? Haven't been by in at least a year.

It looks like a Super 8 motel that they tried "fancying" up with copper accents.

Not to mention he built it on the east face of a slight hill, so there isn't a view of the mountains either.

I live in Inglewood. Total tax bill is about $11,500. Large house + inner city means high land value and high taxes. We run a bed and breakfast out of it so both the large house and inner city are relatively required to be successful in Calgary.
House was completed part way through last year, so the taxes last year only reflected land value + some construction value, hence the large jump for me.

^F--k me. That place must be massive. Our house is only $4,356 in Garrison Green.
Mine dropped $60 per year. Given that I just only took possession May 24th, I'll pay the old rate one more time on June 1st, and then July 1st my payment will drop by a gargantuan $5 per month.

Mine is up. Getting to around ~ $10/day in property tax. Not sure I feel like I am getting good value for that. Grumblegrumble.
