Drank some really expired milk - How screwed am I?
Apparently I am an idiot for assuming that a convenience store would not sell milk products that have been expired for a month and three weeks. I unwittingly drank some Orange Obsession Milk 2 Go purchased from Mac's that had expired on December 4, 2008. Unfortunately, the milk drink was so sweet that I couldn't detect anything while I was drinking it. I only saw the date as I was checking to see if there were any notes about the upcoming deposit on milk containers. Now, I've got some crazy heartburn as I'm typing this.
So, I'm curious...How screwed am I? Should I expect to be puking milk or am I condemned to a day of pissing out my arse?

Another rotten food thread? Again? Really? Is this the CP equivalent of the Rickroll?
If you're really concerned call the Alberta healthlink.

I wouldn't worry about it - yogurt and cheese are just milk in an advanced state of decay, and you're okay eating those.
You're fine. If you start dying though, call an ambulance.

Wow, thanks for taking this to the next level.
I'm not expecting death or geriatric profanity disorder or anything crazy like that. I was just curious as to what kind of fun with my guts that I should be expecting today.
Now, just turn around and leave the room through the door you came in. Sheesh.

If it had really been bad you would have noticed after one sip. Nothing can overpower the rotten taste of sour milk.

Actually, just for future reference purposes, you should document your descent into madness.
Just make notes every 10 minutes on how you feel, so the next time this happens we'll have a frame of reference.
If you post something like: *(*&(&(_)**__+)*(*(^
We'll assume you're either vomiting or have made your internal organs external.

You're probably okay. Mind you, I'm not a doctor, have no medical expertise and no clue what I'm talking about. What I am is an optimist. So, you're probably okay.

Alright I'll lighten up, but seriously we get one of these threads a week now, can't we just add to one?
But in all seriousness, you'll be fine, there is no way a little sugar would hide the taste of rotten milk. And since you opened the drink new (even though it was old) I'm sure you're fine.
The heartburn could be from something else, or even a natural reaction to milk. Milk does that to some people.

Hmmmm well I'm curious if it bungs you up or cleans the pipes. That way I know if I can change my weight loss from "mexican tapwater" or "coke and smokes" to "rotten dairy products"

Unfortunately, the whole curdling process generates gas which is generally not kept under pressure in my guts. The possibility of explosive diarhea is not a welcome prospect for me.

It's the Off Topic forum...threads like these have been classics in the past. He explained the problem in his title, you knew, came in, and still whined about it.
Hint: If you see a thread title you have no interest in, don't go in it.

Hey, I'm allowed my opinion on how the forum is organized. I wasn't rude or attacking.
I do stay out of threads I don't like, I was just wondering how many of these we really needed, which I'm sure is a very valid opinion. And I have also since joined the discussion.

This thread kind of offsets any badassery in your username. Just FYI.

There's a shockingly high percentage of members on CP who consume expired foods and in particular, milk.
