Flames got dominated and are lucky to get the 1 point.
That said TJ Brodie shows once again why he's the new Flames whipping boy. Just careless plays in his own zone.

TJ is this season's goat on defense.
Come on dude, what's with the couple awful plays each game this season? Where's your head at. Like do anything BUT what you did in that position.

Got a point we didn't deserve. Smith got to OT and even though Brodie coughed up the puck, i'm not that unhappy with the results.

Why play Brodie in OT I don't get it. He's a nervous cat with the puck these days.

Stolen point by Smith on a rare off night from Johnny. Brodie continues to be a sloppy mess.

Brutal play by Brodie, but Smith stole us a point they didn't deserve. Better than nothing.

Flames are 7-2-1 in their last ten and just got a point out of a game against one of the better teams in the best division in the league
Calm down, peeps

Tough break.

Big difference is Gaudreau has giveaways at least 100 feet away from his net. That one was literally right in front of the net and it was unforced.
Listen, I like Brodie, but there needs to be a message sent after multiple games of the same crap. If nothing else, drop him to the bottom pairing for a game and force him to earn his ice time back.
That literally cost the Flames a point after a hard fought 60 minutes. I know we all feel bad for Brodie, but at some point there needs to be consequences for plays like that.

It was a bad gaffe. CBJ were hot coming in and played well. It's a great sign that Calgary had chances to win that game right to the end
Take the point and run

have to be honest, those Blue Jackets looked really good ... easily the best team the Flames have face on this road trip. Well coached too, credit to Torts.
People will pile on Brodie, and understandably so. But I'm very okay with the point today.

I mean FFS, it's basically guaranteed that Brodie will be mostly responsible for a goal against per game now. That's unacceptable.
Either way, lucky to get points anyway. Tight game that was mostly in Blue Jackets favour.

Hope that mistake is a wake up call to Brodie. For a defenseman safe is often just fine.

Too many, which is why we should get rid of GG...

Not trying to pile on Brodie more, I'm sure other people will have that covered in this thread, but why doesn't Dougie get a chance there? Last I checked he was pretty decent offensively. Maybe not quite as much this year but an obviously struggling Brodie with 2 shifts instead of Dougie?

Brodie is just not good when under pressure in the D zone. Great skater, great offensive skills, terrible at decision making in his own end though. It isn't like this was a one off, the guy is making at least one bad cough up like that every game. On the plus we got a point and Mike Smith is a goaltending God.
