Ya, I'd have to find a way to blame the cat for that.

I got a couple cans of the Volvo Lifepaint for Christmas last year. Nifty stuff, but it does wash off in rain/snow/snirt. So not sure how good it would be right now in the slushy season.

There is a debate out there though in the community about stuff like this and reflective clothing, how it does nothing to normalize cycling as a means of getting around. Still making it look like a hardcore lycra wearing type activity. I get that, but also nothing wrong with putting some cool stuff on your bike so it lights up all neat like when light hits it.

Hit the deck today for the first time this year. The far north part of the Nose Creek path wasn't cleared very well, it's all icy footprints, very rough. Glad I'm great at crashing, I was already unclipped and on my feet when my bike went down.

Good to hear you made it out OK. I noticed after that last mini snowfall they didn't do much clearing. I'm hoping it stays warm long enough to melt down to bare path again, I've been taking it real easy in some spots that look pretty greased up.

If it gets to 11 like it was forecasted, it should all melt today.

Bloody nice this morning too, although I did notice some frost along Riverwalk. Other than that all good, just lots of water on paths and some puddles in the low spots.

Had to fight the wind coming down, but should be a fun ride home.

Most of it is great, but my luge run is treacherous. The freeze/thaw on that slope is just enough to make it harder and harder ice. I considered walking, but instead went with the no brakes straight line pucker rear end technique. Hopefully it softens up before the next cold snap or I am going to need an alternative route.

With the warmer weather i'm just dreaming of the day I can take the road bike out again. I know that day is like 4 months away, but I can't help thinking about it.

Sugoi has their Black Friday sale on now. I picked out a few items but by the time I went to checkout they were sold out. I didn't need anything, but there were a few nice to haves in there.

Huzzah to the cold front that has come through, looks like I get a tailwind for both my rides today. Sorry habernac.

Oh crud. Silly me trusted the forecast that it would be +10 all day and didn't really bring warm clothes.

Wasn't too bad, bigtime. My 96 Ave path melted enough to use.

Today was a different story. I usually fall one or two times a winter. Today I did twice. first one I expected. 2nd one was a bit of a surprise. My clothes are durable, no rips. Have to see if I have any scrapes when I hit the shower. 0 degrees is the death zone, everything still frozen out there. Be careful.

Sorry to hear about the tumbles, at least you didn't break anything. I had a few nervous moments, but nothing to bad.

Damn, I was expecting my path to be much worse this morning. Was pleasantly surprised that it was already wet instead of icy, just a few patches here and there to watch out for.

I'm going to have a bruise on my hip maybe, but I got out almost unscathed. Small scrape on my forearm.

First almost crash was on the 96ave pathway. I had my foot unclipped already as I was going downhill and it was all frozen footprints, etc. Stopped the crash halfway through.

The next one I went down hard. The path goes under Beaver Dam Rd NE, it's a bit of a blind corner. It wasn't icy at all the other day, but some snow melt must have got onto the pathway. I hit it and slammed down hard. They usually sand it there.

put a studded tire on the front of your cross bike hab. My front studded has saved me multiple times.

Today I took the touring bike. Wow, what a difference. I might fix that bike up into my winter commuter. Only thing is I would have to clean it, haha.

I hate the rolling resistance. It's too much for an 18km ride where it's 99% clear.
